I hope you enjoy this collection of words and music. This was recorded over the last 5 years in different studios whenever I felt inspired to do so. I'd like to thank all of the phenomenal musicians, engineers and peeps that helped make this possible – I am deeply grateful, I mean it. I'd like to thank Erin my wife and my family for their patience

Why Do You Seek The Living

David Gillis

Why Do You Seek The Living

Mary went down to the place where the body of her Lord was laid... in a tomb covered by a stone. When she arrived she did find that the stone had moved and her Lord was gone, suddenly a messenger appeared... He said:

Why do you seek the living, the living among the dead, Why do you seek the living among the dead?

Mary

Why Do You Seek The Living

Mary went down to the place where the body of her Lord was laid... in a tomb covered by a stone. When she arrived she did find that the stone had moved and her Lord was gone, suddenly a messenger appeared... He said:

Why do you seek the living, the living among the dead, Why do you seek the living among the dead?

Mary went back to the place where the disciples of her Lord had stayed, to tell them all she seen and heard. Thomas said I don’t believe no I can’t believe unless I see, and touch his body with my hands.

All generations look for signs to no avail, No sign be given except for Jonah and the whale. But happy are those who believe, even though they don’t see.

Now take a moment and picture this... You leave your body after deaths last kiss, You travel past the great abyss, and all your worries, you don’t even miss.

Escorted there by an Angel friend, It’s just the beginning of the end The gates of heaven open up just then, and a million smiling faces welcome you in.

Why do you seek the living, the living among the dead, Why do you seek the living among the dead?
